Bandit lord gets over 50% res from attacks

I'm not complaining about being attacked, but I thought the honour system limited how much resources a bandit would get on attacks.

Is this broken or am I wrong?

Bandits can still get normal resource plunders, the system limits how much the attacker gets against certain types of defenders.

Attacks against:
bandits is 100% resource plunder
honourable targets 75% plunder
neutral and dishonourable targets 50% plunder.

If you were an honorable target to him, he would collect 75% resources from you.

then what is to stop people from attacking low-ranked players,

there is no actual punishment

last time i checked to be dishonourable target was to be over 100 military ranks below the attacker, although the most recent attack by a bandit lord was by somebody about 150 military ranks above me yet it was still honourable

Well when we get to v4, you stand to gain by having positive honour points to trade in. If you're a bandit you won't have any points to trade in for the new items

Regarding the attack on you, did it destroy a lot of ships and defense, perhaps enough that by the time you had checked you had already dropped in military rank to be outside the 100 ranks range?
